The Irish Security Industry Association (ISIA) held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) yesterday in Croke Park. Last year it elected its first female president at its AGM and the membership opted to re-elect Sheenagh McCullagh of Stanley Security Ireland for a further term. Alan Durnan of Brinks Ireland, the ISIA's Guarding Division Chairman, was elected as Vice President. Alan has served on the ISIA's Council of Management for over seven years and has been working in the security industry for twenty years. Speaking on the election of the officers Sarah O'Donnell, Communications Director, ISIA, commented, 'it is fantastic for the members to have Sheenagh continuing her term, it allows for continuity of the great work she has done so far and I am certain she will continue to be a strong leader for the association'. McCullagh stated she was 'excited to begin a new term with Alan Durnan as VP. The members are lucky to have him on board with the years of industry experience he brings to the role, combined with his knowledge of and day to day exposure to a range of sectors within the security industry'.
