In anticipation of the Private Security Authority’s plans to license event security, the Irish Security Industry Association (ISIA) have established an Event and Entertainment Division.
This division is a new division and will attract high quality door-supervisor and event security companies, who will need to meet the requirements of the Irish Standard, I.S. 999: 2004 and the Qualsec Standard characteristics for that discipline and also show a current Licence from Private Security Authority.
The Chairman of the Division is Diarmuid Smyth, MD Sword Security Group
The Vice-Chairman of the Division is Rory O'Reilly, GM Express Security Group
