PSA moves into renovated premises
      
At the opening were Minister Ahern, Barry Brady, ISIA Executive Director,
Ray Guinan, PSA Board member, Geraldine Larkin, CEO,PSA
and Martin Stairs, Past President ISIA

The newly renovated Old Barracks premises was officially opened by the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform, Dermot Ahern, T.D. on 29th July 2008. He was accompanied by Dr. Martin Mansergh, T.D., Minister of State at the Department of Finance with responsibility for the Office of Public Works.

A large number of invited guests toured the renovated building and then adjourned to a local hotel for a reception, where both ministers addressed the assembled audience. Ms Geraldine Larkin, Chief Executive Officer, outlined the progress of the licensing process and thanked her staff, the Authority and the licensed security operators for their support during a difficult process. She acknowedged the support of many people and looked forward to higher standards in business practice and training for the industry. She particularly praised the ISIA for introducing higher standards for their members with the introduction of the 3 tier continuous progress standard, Qualsec.
