Installation Supervisor required by major Security Systems Company.
Overall, the key performance measure is the efficient running of the engineering function for installations.
1. Reporting/Operations Planning and supervising the work of all engineers within function. Ensuring that all engineering processes are adhered to. Maximising engineer’s productivity Monitoring the performance of the engineers under the following: (a) Time keeping. (b) Appearance. (c) Discipline. (d) Training Resolving problems that may occur under the above headings and carrying out regular appraisals. Ensuring that engineers maintain their company vehicles as detailed in the Employee Handbook. Ensuring that all jobs are installed to relevant industry standards Liasing with Sales on a regular basis to review progress on jobs and on specific projects. Meeting with Sub-contractors, agreeing costs for works to be carried out and completing documentation recording these agreements. Providing technical support to Engineers when required, this may include telephone support or on site assistance with problem jobs. Carrying out regular job audits on works carried out by installation engineers and preparing reports on these for Quality Meetings. Dealing with accounts queries, which may arise from the Accounts Department. Carry out occasional site work on installations when workload demands. Overseeing the commissioning of new installations Presenting regular reports as requested by the General Manager. Preparing monthly forecasts for installation and on-call schedules.
2. Resource Management
Advising Management of manpower issues within the engineering function. Ensuring staff are H&S compliant with regard to safe work practices
3. Customer Relations
Liasing directly with customers to ensure that deadlines are met Attending ad hoc site meetings with customer representatives Ensuring that customer issues, particularly complaints are dealt with in appropriate and timely manner.
Skills :
Excellent people management and administrative skills are required coupled with the ability to multi-task and to work calmly under pressure. The successful candidate will be proactive and capable of leading, motivating and managing staff. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written and strong organisational abilities. Good customer service and time management Excellent knowledge of electronic security systems in particular IP CCTV systems Good knowledge of the workings of computer networks
