STATISTICAL INFORMATION ON INDIVIDUAL LICENSING
      


The Private Security Authority has issued 24,884 licences to individuals

15,906 (64%) of licences have issued to Irish nationals.
1,721 (7%) issued to Polish nationals.
1,169 (4.7%) issued to Pakistani nationals..
1,159 (4.7%) issued to Nigerian nationals.
675 (2.7%) issued to British national


17,261 licences have issued for the Security Guard sector while 6,122 have issued for Door Supervisor. 1,501 licences have issued to individuals to work in both sectors. 96% of licence holders are men. 1,016 licences(4%) have issued to women with 726 licensed as Security Guards and 231 licensed as Door Supervisors. 58 women have licences to work in both sectors.


        
The average age of licence holders is 39 years.
