| I.S. 998:2006 Cash-in-Transit Standard |
The new CIT Standard, I.S. 998:2006 was formally launched at a reception in the Westbury Hotel on Monday, 19th February 2007. Mr. Noel Conroy, Garda Commissioner, Ms Geraldine Larkin, CEO Private Security Authority, Michael Fenton, Vice-Chairman, Transport Division, ISIA and Kevin McMahon, SIPTU were present and addressed the gathered stakeholders.
All Cash-in- Transit companies will now be required to meet this standard when submitting application to the Private Security Authority for licences to provide a Cash and Valuables transport security service.
