In the absence of the publication of the final list of essential services to be published by the Irish Government the Irish Security Industry Association (ISIA) has communicated the following update to members.

Following the announcement last night by the government outlining further social restrictions in response to COVID 19 there is uncertainty regarding the classification of essential services as we await the publication of this list.   We have been in contact with the Privae Security Authority (PSA) this morning who are also awaiting the publication of this list.  The government advice,  until such time as the list is published, is to continue if you are carrying out an essential service. See below from gov.ie.  https:/ /www.gov.ie/en/publication/cf9b0d-new-public-health-measures-effective-now-to-prevent-further-spread-o/

All PSA licensable activities should continue until we have clarification, the government states that they are not essential or unless instructed by a client.

The ISIA has submitted numerous communications to the government requesting various security services are classified as essential services.
