I.S. 998 Cash-in-Transit Standard

This standard sets out requirements relating to Cash-In-Transit to include security specifications, protocols, management, legislative compliance, staffing, training, health and safety, operational procedures, records and reports.

The requirements of the standard are broken into three broad areas:

  1. Company Organisation
  2. Staffing, and
  3. Training

Companies who require a license to provide cash and valuables transport security must be audited against the requirements of I.S. 998:2006 by a Private Security Authority approved certification body.
